Logica has launched a sustainability reporting tool which it says will help businesses aggregate and manage the growing number of tools that measure their sustainability performance.

Faced with increasing external pressures to report on sustainability indicators, the Sustainability Indicator Reporting Application (SIRA) will enable organizations to comply with legislative reporting requirements and help companies identify how to reduce their environmental impact.

The tool also helps companies understand where future cost savings can be made and to track initiatives to achieve these savings, Logica said. The system aggregates and stores data, permitting customisation of reports.

Judith Halkerston, the head of Logica’s UK energy, utilities and telecoms group, said the app was aimed at helping enterprises “navigate their way through a maze of international environmental regulation.”

“Often, this requires a significant investment in resource and raises challenges to present the data in an intuitive and engaging manner.

“SIRA is designed to be implemented quickly and flexibly and will help an organization identify immediate improvements and savings in its sustainability reporting, as well as reducing risk and exposure to potential fines.”
