China plans to build seven wind power bases with a capacity of at least 10gW each by 2020, China Daily reported. Construction will cost around 1 trillion yuan ($146.38 billion), said Shi Pengfei, vice-president of Chinese Wind Energy Association.
The number of smart electricity meters in Europe will grow at CAGR of 16.2% between 2008 and 2014 to 96.3 million, Berg Insight predicts. The growth puts within reach the EU-wide target of 80% of households with smart meters by 2020.
HP has begun selling its first range of HP Deskjet Printers made of recycled materials for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
