Intel has unveiled its biggest campus solar installations in California and Arizona.

 

ECOtality has sealed a deal with Qualcomm to provide cellular connectivity to its $230m network of electric vehicle charging stations across the US, enabling real-time communications.

 

State-owned New Zealand utility Genesis Energy is planning a 600 MW wind farm at its northern Wairarapa site, on the South Island west coast, Scoop website says.

 

The installed base of smart meters in Europe will grow at CAGR of 17.9% between 2009 and 2015 to reach 111.4m, Berg Insight predicts. It says smart metering will next be introduced in France, Spain and the UK.
