Dell has unveiled its G-Series LED flat panel monitors that cut average power consumption over comparable monitors by more than half. They draw less than 0.15W of power consumption and in sleep mode consume no power from the host computer. The Energy Star-compliant 22-inch and 24-inch displays include recycled materials “and other environmentally preferable components,” Dell said.
IBM has launched LotusLive, a social networking and collaboration tool for business. The cloud-based platform will serve as a single destination for all Lotus online collaboration tools, including social networking, email, file sharing and web conferencing, IBM said. LotusLive will integrate its functionality with professional social networking service LinkedIn.
