Panasonic shows wireless solar-powered table

Panasonic has showcased a solar-powered table that can wirelessly recharge mobile phones and other devices.

Based on the recently-completed Qi Wireless Power transmission standard, the tables system will recharge any Qi-enabled devices through the solar panel at the center of the table.

It will be available later this year or early 2012 with a set of dedicated Qi batteries for Panasonic mobile phones, Akihabra News reports.
